Dartford Crossing

We live right on the M25 (ok not literally) and we book a hotel too. We often go earlier and start the holiday with a pub meal, once the car is parked up in the hotel car park that's it!

Totally agree with booking a hotel.

When there is a big problem with the bridge its impact is huge.

I live in Essex and hubby travels this route often. I don't like staying in hotels the night before (more bags/sorting etc) and just prefer allowing extra (lots!) travel time but even this was not sufficient last time. Actual Bridge was damaged due to crash and shut, stop start all the way on M25 to M23. Raced through airport and just got flight.

Phew not again - now it's a hotel

This year our flight was supposed to be taking off at 3pm so booked the transfer again. Now Norwegian have changed it to 10am I am feeling risking that is a bit much!

Norwegian check in opens three hours before (we aren't on it but DIL and the kids are) we are the Kent side of the crossing and I'm booking them for the night before now the times have changed. It just removes the stress.

Transfer is now cancelled and airport hotel with parking booked.

If Norwegian change the flight substantially back the other way now I am going to be cross - fingers crossed no more changes 🤞🤞
