I have done the Schwartz chicken curry which was lovely and made enough for lunch the next day too. I’ve currently got a gammon joint in there now and tomorrow I’m doing a lamb tagine type dish so when I come in it’s only veg and cous cous to do. I love it!
How are you doing to lamb? I like that sound of that

It’s a recipe I found on allrecipes.co.uk for slow cooker Moroccan lamb. I can’t post a link right now as I’m on my phone but I will a bit later.

I bought one last weekend. I tried chicken casserole but felt the veggies could have been cooked more. I need more practice still!

My old slow cooker was on its last legs so I've ordered one of these from Amazon. It's arriving tomorrow and will be using it on Tuesday for a chicken, thyme and white wine meal that we like. I usually have to use a frying pan for the start of this recipe, so looking forward to doing it all in the one pot now 😊

Try and get a crock pot or similar. Something that lets you brown the meat in the pot on the hob first. It keeps all the flavour in the pot and saves washing

Thanks 😊 I’ve never had a slow cooker and didn’t realise you’d need to do more than throw it all in with some of them!
Am having a quick look now.

Just got the Morphy Richards sear and stew today and that has a pot that you can use on your cooker too for browning off etc. Good price on Amazon 😊

I did a whole chicken in it on Sunday, was so soft and the meat fell off the bone. I've also done a joint of gammon with just some brown sugar on it, that was super too. Also done chilli, bolognaise, curry etc. I love it, it really is making my life easier on an evening and takes minimal prep the night before when I'm pottering and tidying up or waiting for that evening's dinner to cook.

I did try to make a slow cooker brownie but that was more like a biscuit... ! I had such high hopes for that too!
