Madeira Beach Fl - 7 Days Of Relaxation Day 3

Today started with a breakfast of homemade pancakes followed by a walk along the beach to North Reddington Shores. We walked for an hour on the beach then walked back along Gulf Boulevard looking at some of the beautiful properties in Reddington Beach.

It was cool on the way out but very soon we had our sweatshirts off and enjoyed the sun.

We got back to the condo at around 12.00 and had last night's left over pizza for lunch. Then into our swimmers and down to the beach for some sunbathing. This was our spot for the next few hours. $25 a day, but as we were only having it from 12.45, we were charged $20. Comfy beds and the hood was fab for keeping the breeze off us.

This is how close our apartment block is to the beach, ours is the 3 window up.

I must take at least one of these type of photos a day, but I just love the view, the sun reflecting on the sea is so perfect.

We weren't alone on the beach, there were other sunbathers, however, there were people walking by fully wrapped up with jeans and fleeces on! How would they cope with the current temperatures back in Scotland! 😂😂❄️❄️

Around 4.30 we headed up to shower and change. We'd decided to head to Dockside Dave's for dinner. We wandered down only to find it was closed! Where to go now? We opted to jump in the car and head to Outback or Sonny's, we couldn't remember which one we came to first on the road so agreed to go into whichever did come first. Turned out to be Outback, however, the manager met us on the way in. The grill hood was busted so all he could offer was salad and fries, no chicken or steak! No thanks.

So back in the car, it was beginning to feel like we weren't supposed to eat tonight! We drove a bit further along and came to Sonny's. We both had the rib dinner, full rack, 2 sides, garlic bread and crinkle fries, and because she'd been held up coming to take our order (we weren't bothered by this) our server offered an appetiser on the house. It was all really tasty and at $37 without tip was a bargain dinner.

Back home and before long our early start and 2 hour walk caught up with us and we were in bed by 10.00 pm. Hottest day of our week tomorrow so it will be mainly lying in the sun.

Another lovely day - it always feels extra special to be sunbathing in December!

Dinner sounds like a bargain!

The weather turned out great and our chosen sun beds with a hood were excellent for letting us get some sun but avoiding the beach breeze.

$20 for the day - might seem a bit extravagant but they were so comfy and the hood really did keep the breeze off of us.
