Marks & Spencer new styles

Popped into town at the weekend. Omg the new spring range looks awful. It may just be me but skirts with a bell frill or an asymmetrical hem just don’t appeal. The colours are not good either.
Anyone else feel the same.

I'm not sure about this irregular hem thing, I mean it looks good on models (totally fallen in love with a dress from Coast) but I feel on me it would look like my dress was caught up or my hem was coming down.

Do not understand the styling at M&S. Who is it aimed at. Personally hate the designs. I’m only 5ft and a young 70+ but I’m afraid wide frilly bows on sleeves do nothing for me.
Style is neither young or old. My daughters would not dream of buying there. Lot of frumpy stuff. I like quality stuff, jumpers there are now very thin so off putting
Next has a better selection and more petite sizing.

They have a new plus size range, which I hope does well. I like some of the tops I've seen online, although I'm not keen on the trousers - prefer bootcut to straight or slim legs. But, it's early days, and hopefully it will expand over time.

Our M&S is definitely aimed at the older clientele.
Frilly bell sleeves drive me crazy , I bought a wrap cardigan with bell sleeves and wore it twice 😞their t shirt s are rubbish only come to your waistband no good for covering your belly up ,if you reach up you show 6 inches of tummy off.

Lol you beat me too it, I was just going to say about the bell sleeve tops in M & S, I picked a few up other day and everyone of them had bell sleeves... Hate them and they fall in my gravy when eating out 😂😂

Another thing which makes me wonder where their brains are is that the petite range jeans (designed for women under 5’3”) are modelled online by a lady listed as 5’ 4.5”. If they fit her they will be too long on me and all the other shorter ladies.
