I just love that it’s back. It’s amazing to see how things were done, not even that long ago, fascinating stuff!

I love it but wish the series were longer! I really like Delia and Patsy so will miss them not being in it. The new nurse seems lovely though.

Fantastic start to the new series.
I do wish Trixie's dentist would either propose or sod off though !I was wondering if they intend to write Helen's pregnancy into the series though.
Just had a look and it seems Helen will just be in the first 4 episodes so I doubt they will be writing the pregnancy in to the series. I think she will leave after going back on the booze.

What’s scary is it’s now getting up to my lifetime and it still looks like a historical series !

My Mum was actually offered Thalidomide by her GP but she said she'd rather not take any medication . Sobering thought.

Oh I love that programme

Tonight I watched and sob sob at end..

I lost my parent when I was young. back to 1975 to 1979

My question that both of my parent didn't explained to me and my brother about cancer...both of them died of cancer...I was lost and standing on my feet. I was thinking back old times/old fashioned and I wish that my parent should explained me about the cancer. I wonder if that times no one speak up? and nowadays lots of support, counselling, advised etc. I didn't had any supported in 1975...

I think people were so afraid of cancer as treatment even in the 70s wasn't very successful that there was a taboo attached to it as there was a high chance diagnosis was incredibly bad news whereas now treatments are so much more effective people are a lot more open about it.

I thought they were quite forward in discussing cancer for those times. I thought it wasn't routinely diagnosed until much later.
