Caribbean Beach Resort building works and Old Port Royal closure

Whilst we we told that the opening for the food court area would be 16/8/2018, on reviewing my invoice,dated the 13/4/2017 they have a suitably generic information statement which will probably mean that they do not have to compensate anyone who booked directly with Disney.
I will send an e mail anyway but am not expecting a positive response.

Was the August date officially announced by Disney? Presume it was as there were signs around the resort saying opening summer 2018.

I’ve just been reading the information on the Disney UK site. It is mentioned at the end of the information about CBR. It is call the spyglass and it says it will be quick service. There is no opening date on their site but I had heard February and then today on the Dibb April was mentioned. So no definite date yet.

Received an email back just to say that they have forwarded my email on to another department who will be able to assist me better and they'll be in contact within 7 days!

Can you not move your booking back to AKL or try POR/FQ?

I'm not surprised you're worried - the YouTube video really does highlight just how bad the construction work is.
