Mobile Crowds at the moment!?

I arrived on 2nd Feb.

I've been August, July, September, October and January and I've never seen it so busy! What's going on lol?

I know, I've been checking wait times MDE, some pretty long wait times.

I'm not sure why it's so busy right now, but this week, there will be bus loads of cheer leading squads arriving for cheer competitions next weekend. 😕

Then Presidents' Day weekend the weekend after, so looks like it might get busier - sob!

We'll be out there in a few days too, so at least I know to be prepared for it.

Have you seen any other big groups in the parks while you've been there?

😊

Yep, dance championships too. Don't hold out much hope for this time of year. What a mistake this was lol

Crazy isn't it! Are you going to the parks today? Let us know how it is.
Hope it's not as busy as yesterday 😬

Went to AK yesterday and it was packed. I’m full of cold too which isn’t helping. Thought this time of year would be a bit quieter!

Really crowded in MK yesterday. At DHS now and it's also really crowded and it's only 9am! Looking forward to leaving for brunch later.

Rope drop still helps but definitely busier than I anticipated at this time of year.

Weather is perfect though!

Was hoping it was just because it was a weekend and it will be quieter during the week. Fingers crossed!

I'm hoping that too. I'm currently stuck in a queue for the queue for the queue to the ferry because the monorail was too busy and no buses running

I think the secret is out for late Jan / early Feb. It barely quietened down all of last month, lots of level 7 crowds (even mid-week) when it should be 2s or 3s. I'm hoping that people who went at that time purely for crowd avoidance go back to the warmer weather and leave us snowbirds in peace next year.

Although those "in the know" are suggesting it's crowd levelling - partially by Disney introducing events in low times to increase attendance, and people wising up to when the "slower" times of year are instead of just going in summer as was the historic peak. But it means there will basically be no quiet/busy times any more, it will just be moderate to busy year round now.

Who is there to make it busy? European and US kids are in school ( or should be!)

Is it older people or couples enjoying free dining? I note the Universal parks are quiet
