Mobile Yacht Club lagoon view rooms

We stayed at the yacht club when we stayed on site for the first time since then we have stayed at the beach club. This time want to stay at the yacht club but rarely see lagoon view rooms unless they are club level
This seems to have happened since the rooms have be refurbished or is that my imagination
Any advice as to how to get a yacht club lagoon/pool view room

I wouldn’t bother. We paid for a water view as that was all that was available when we booked and we could see a tiny bit of the pool but mainly just a big flat grey roof. Really not worth the extra £100s we paid.

Two years later we went back and stayed in a standard view. I asked for a room overlooking the wedding pavilion and could see the lake, and could see fireworks too, but having checked it was still definitely classed as a standard.

Room refurbs wouldn't change the basic inventory and there were lagoon views (non club) available on my dates, so I suspect they were just sold out when you were searching. But as above, I don't think it's worth paying extra for those views as there's plenty of rooms classed as standard or garden that have lovely and even lagoon views.

Do the standard rooms have a full balcony?

As above, all rooms have a full balcony at YC - it's BC that have the mix of balcony types. However at the deluxes, the room categories (excluding club level) only determine the view rather than room features.

We had a lagoon view last year, I didn't get my ideal view of the boardwalk but it was still lovely.

This was my view in September, it was great until Hurricane Irma came howling across the lagoon
