Within 24hrs of taking antibiotics I could feel the reduction of swelling. If you think they are more swollen, get checked out again.
So sorry for you. It’s so miserable. Edited to add: could it be your glands that are more swollen now? Shine your iPhone torch on to your tonsils and have a good look. Then you’ll be able to monitor if they are getting worse or better. Edited at 01:28 PM. |

Oh bless you.
Get your other half to go to Walgreens and stock up on throat spray and plenty of water. Maybe Gatorade will help keep you hydrated? And just rest. So sorry nothing worse than being so ill on holiday. Hopefully the anti bs will kick in and you can start enjoying the rest of your holiday. Xxxxx

My daughter glands were really swollen, she felt like her throat had closed up. We also bought cloraseptic and losenges. I would go to walgreens and see what they have. If youre in a hotel the hotel shop may have something.

I had tonsillitis when I was out there in August ended up getting antibiotics, one thing I was told (that I never even thought off!) was after 24 hours on antibiotics change your toothbrush, as the toothbrush can reinfect you x Hope you feel better soon x
