What a different Valentine night

Love the owls We also meet a little owl at our local summer fete in Datchet. As you said they are so small.

We had a quiet Valentines Day, just went out for breakfast at our local Toby and then a quiet day watching the Winter Olympics

What a lovely treat. We live in the country and I hear owls all the time at night but rarely see one. In fact I think I have only seen one once and we were so excited!

How lovely Selina, I spent Valentine's having a meal in London and watching Annie, not with himself tho but with my daughter and 2 of my granddaughters.
I don't like most birds (terrified) but I do like birds of prey , strange eh?

That's funny Gryff, I always look amazed at people with three young children then remember I had three in three and a half years (plus two labradors, two cats and a selection of lesser pets), I don't know how I did it but somehow we muddled through.

Its so nice when you have been together so long (same as us, married 30 years this year but together nearly 36! ) that you can still have surprises and enjoy something different together.

I've had a lovely week as we got Tank Museum annual passes at the weekend, chocolates and card on the day (very unusual) and flowers yesterday - feeling very happy, lucky and spoiled

This is so magically Alan Partridge.

"That was the best Valentines Day I've had in 8 years"
"Why, what did you do 8 years ago?"
"I just... had a better one"
