Universal hotels

Hi looking to book one of the Universal hotels around 5/6th July for 1 night for the express passes. Prices coming in around £320per room - is this a decent price ? Do hotel prices normally increase nearer the date of stay ? Thanks.

I have booked HRH for around £230 per night for October but I booked it aaaages ago for my stay in October. I have booked with Sunshine for a £1 deposit. I can then keep going in and checking the prices and if it goes down it allows me to amend to new lower price.
July is pretty peak time which is probably why you are seeing it so high

Prices can go up and down slightly. Good idea would be book one that you can cancel or who will do a price match (and cash back via Quidco) and then you can keep checking. Travelbag and BA are worth checking if you haven't done already. You could also look at prices booking direct with hotel.

Peak time unfortunately, we travelled 5 July year before last and found the Universal hotels much more expensive than our usual August dates. Pools, namely the Portofino, were much rowdier too with big family groups of Americans.
