may be i should give it a go!

like instead of doing Hulk, see how I get on without internet! The panic kicks in, but kind o exciting? I may try a wee but I will need my fitness pal and fitbit.
or may be I will just go for Hulk

I'm on a Facebook group that I've made a lot of close friends through and majority of conversations with other friends are through whatsapp or Facebook messenger.
Some may say if you took that away we'd physically see each other more but it's so difficult to fit in a date when we're all free it makes sense to chat via the Internet.
Plus I'm not really an outdoors person and I like my iPad/Xbox (with online connection) too much!
I could go a day or 2 but more than that and I'd miss it!

I don't take my phone on holiday though.

We're on holiday, the Internet has been invaluable for bus/train times/looking up unknown French words/finding pharmacies etc etc. Why would I want to give it up?

No one is suggesting you should - no pressure from me

From memory the article implied that it is not unusual for people to spend 25 hours a week online (excluding work). I was only surprised it was that low

I'm ashamed to say I'm not sure I could last an hour!

It made me wonder how long dibbers think they could survive if someone took away all their smart devices and gave them a very basic phone with no apps or internet connection.

Remember, this is the only device you are allowed - no tablets,PDAs,computers of any description...So no access to the web or any form of social media.

I have done this and lasted a couple of days..but it wasn't easy!

Come on dibbers - be honest

Over to you

NOTE: Results will be public!
I couldn't live without it, not now, lol.

When we go on holiday to Scotland we have very limited access and I can manage but luckily they have an internet cafe so I can go and get my fix for an hour lol.

I grew up not even having a landline but that was then. Now it's here I can't live without it

I said longer! Mainly because it wasn't really all that long ago that we didn't have constant internet. I dont use the internet on my phone much, maybe just to look something up.

I would love a simplistic lifestyle and could quite happily go off grid, all or nothing really, if I have it, I'll use it, if I dont, I wont. Kinda surprised at myself tho! Saying it is one thing, doing would be another!

Don't have a smart phone so when on holiday especially in Europe it is a case of finding a Wi-Fi coffee shop etc. for my tablet.
Actually a lot of campsites only have Wi-Fi in reception.
So whilst I would miss it for posting photos to family I could survive without it.

Social media I could easily manage without. I took 6 months off Facebook in 2012 and to be honest it was easy.

Now the internet is another matter. If I absolutely had to live without it I would, but not through choice.
