Parking fees at RPR - what would you be prepared to pay?
We recently stayed there for 8 nts and got stung £176 just to park the car. We knew that it was $22 per day before we went - but we have to begrudgingly pay it as there is no obvious alternative.
I do think it is a rip off and penalises commitment and investment. I can understand it if a nominal fee is required but $22 per day is mental! Out of curiosity - what would you be happy paying per day if you stayed there for several nights?

I'm going with the discount for longer stays. It puts you off staying for a full fortnight when it's going to cost an additional $300. We're staying 4 nights in a couple of weeks and that'll be bad enough.

Excited about Disney

We were one night customers, so not a lot for us ,but , its not a cheap hotel to start with so charging for parking is too much, it will be resort fees next. The cost of our next holiday is already very much higher than this year, higher holiday price ,higher park ticket costs , we wont be able to go every year ,its just getting too expensive, parking is a major expense , hotel and parks every day, $100s

When we've stayed at RPR for a week at a time we've been lucky enough to find a good price thorough Virgin, and part of their deal was free parking.
Last month we stayed at Sapphire Falls which is also $22 parking. We were there for 5 nights and although it stings, we knew it when we booked and just factored the cost in. If you would be going to the parks as a day guest and parking the car, then it doesn't seem quite so bad. Parking charges are definitely something to consider when comparing hotel prices.

The most we've stayed is two nights, I wouldn't want to be paying more.
The parking fees has put us off staying at the Swan and Dolphin, goodness knows if/when Disney introduce it!

waiting impatiently...!

I'm happy to pay the going rate, it's not a hidden cost so just gets taken into consideration when I'm deciding where we stay. We've stayed for a week at RPR twice and didn't give it a second thought, the fotl passes and the gorgeous surroundings makes it well worth it.

Try overnight parking in a city like San Francisco or Seattle. You are looking at at least $50 a night!

Really Geoff? O M G !
Puts my gripe into perspective! That said - I still think the principle of paying the same charges as a day visitor to the park isnt right at all. And it does add up when staying for over a week. Even tho I know in advance - its still an irritant for me!

We had to pay $50 per night in Miami & same in NY
I think it should be free. I love RPR but begrudge paying $22 to park at the hotel when I can park at Universal/IOA for free (annual pass). |
