Mobile ‘Homemade’ advent calendar

Just wanted to share an idea that ds and I have had this year.

Rather than buying Hubby an advent calendar (last year we got him the Snaffling Pig pork scratchings) we are going to buy him 24 small treats, wrap them and number them. I have been to Tesco this morning to make a start. I bought him a Terry’s chocolate orange, a 4 pack of dairy milk (I will wrap them individually), several individual Xmas chocolates (3 for £1.20). I will also buy some cans of his favourite beer and wrap them Individually.

For a wanting to gift an advent calendar whilst on a budget then this could be a good way of doing it .

Much better than the overpriced beauty ones that contain " over £250 worth of cosmetics for just £50" then it's full of stuff you dont use.
I got one of those once from M&S ,and yes it was nice but not worth the money , but the box was lovely, so my DH refills it every year for me with bits and bobs and it's much better

I am making my DH a calendar with a scratch card each day.
