When I managed a nursing home I used to store all gifts we were given in December (loads of various sizes and items), stick a raffle ticket to each one and get the staff to pick a ticket so they all got something to take home. Some got tins of sweets, some got boxes of biscs or a bottle of wine etc and there was always stuff left to put in the staff room.

Tea and coffee sounds nice. How about a hamper of different flavoured coffees, hot chocolates and cappuccino type drinks; and herbal / fruit tea as well as the 'proper' tea.
