Virgin Holiday Prices!

They are ridiculous! Anyone else noticed their extortionate prices ?

They're always sky high but the brand junkies love them and won't see it.

Virgin used to offer a good, value for money, product - but that was many years ago.

Yep, they've been like it for ages, last year I got a fly drive to Miami with BA for £2368, for the same with Virgin holidays they wanted £5k!

To be fair it varies, I have always gone through travel counsellors or diy and it worked cheaper, however when I booked for April (now postponed) VH were significantly cheaper than anyone else including DIY, the same hotel + tickets cost much more through Disney than it did including UC flights with VH. A friend booked the GF plus PE flights with VH, again the same hotel was much with Disney, and didn't even include the flights.

They are extortionate most of the time, but for our vegas trip in a few weeks, they just couldn't be beaten by anyone else or even DIY, I've never booked a package to the US but this year i got an amazing deal, they even came up cheapest when i added on car hire last week as opposed to booking it seperatly.

I had to bite my tongue when in-laws phoned excitedly that they'd just booked a great deal with VH. They paid more than we did for lower class of everything. I'm sure they occasionally have actual bargains, but I've never managed to find anything cheaper than DIY.

It was thousands more when we got a quote from them for the exact same resort/package. Maybe their flights are more comfortable but seriously... not thousands of pounds worth of extra comfort!

Based on your experiences, is my price of £10,207 a good one...

2 adults 1 child. July 14th 2018 for 17 nights, premium economy flights, with virgin, port Orleans riverside royal guest room, upgraded to Disney dining plan, universal tickets as well as Disney for 14 days. I thought that was pretty good, when I did the price up without flights, it would have left 1,100 each for flights to fit my price. All booked with virgin holidays.

Bit offensive .
I'm not a "brand junkie" , I got a good deal and I have always had a good experience with them.
