Is anyone sick of cooking?

I have run out of things to cook, it’s got so boring and I’m fed up with my cooking. I had a cheese and pickle sandwich tonight and crisps and made omelettes for dd and dh. I have made every meal I can think of and I’m bored, what about others? I would love Nandos or McDonald’s soon! I know not important it’s just a light hearted thread I don’t need telling off!

Ha ha yes! I actually said can you imagine there was a time when this was what women did every day!

I had cheese and biscuits tonight. I miss going to the pub for dinner or the curry house and we have brunch out every weekend. We’ve had three take aways but I prefer to sit in.

I’ve just re started Gousto meals... I do have bouts of using them and then leaving it for a few months... I like Hellofresh too... I find them very handy when I’m getting bored with cooking the same meals even though I work on a 21-28 day menu... using Gousto means We try different things... I’ve had a box of 4 meals for 2 people this week (£34.95) yesterday we had King Prawn Korma with cardamom rice, today was Farfelle with mange tout, bacon and cheesy sauce, tomorrow is smoked fish fishcakes with mayo and pea, mint and rocket salad, and Saturday is cheeseburgers with chips... but you pick your own from the menu...all ingredients apart from the odd bit of butter and oil are in the box.
I don’t have them every week cos they are a bit more pricey than buying the ingredients from lidl, but I do like the variety and convenience...

Yes! Absolutely bored of cooking!

There are 7 of us and I always make 2 dinners (dietary reasons before people start the ‘make one meal and tough’ comments). We don’t eat out a lot but do have a McDs every Saturday, which started years ago when the boys used to play football on Saturday mornings, and sometimes a different take away here or there. The kids would eat out with mates sometimes too. Also, 2 had breakfast at work, they would all have lunch at work, college or school. I used to eat lunch out most days too, so the amount of food and meals we are going through here at home now, is crazy!

I would give anything for a hot, McDs, Nando’s or KFC right now (the only 3 places where everyone will eat so I don’t have to cook!).

I despise cooking anyway so that element of it is painful. We’ve actually just had a few days of ‘just grab something from the cupboard/freezer’ because it needs emptying and I’m so over it and needed a break.

I have eaten myself silly through first few weeks of lockdown, if it was crap or junk we had it, if my OH went to shop I said don't forget some treats 🙄, I was feeling bloated, sluggish and meh, I've started back on slimming world doing a virtual zoom group every week and I'm cooking from scratch again and honestly loving it, it passes the time instead of my passing the time sat on sofa shoveling crap in my mush lol
