Wheeled holdall - what do you think?

The maximum size for hand luggage on Virgin Flights is
55cmx35cmx23cm - maximum weight 6kgs. The bags on this thread are a lot bigger than this, though you could take small grips (not exceeding these measurements/weight) on as hand luggage.

oh thats alot smaller than i thought, im planning some serious shopping and worried about weight and getting charged extra etc

Hope you're not getting mixed up between hand luggage and hold luggage! The weight/ dimensions I gave were for hand luggage (ie. the bag you can take on the plane with you - only allowed one each).

In addition you have your hold luggage. You can take two pieces each. Maximum dimensions 158 cm. (you add height+depth+width). Maximum weight 23gk. each case. The thread is discussing the pro's and con's of taking large grips instead of suitcases for the hold luggage.

Hope that's enough for you to bring all the shopping back you need! Also remember if you pay for a seat for children then they are entitled to their two pieces too!
