Ours was food, and the large freezer bags, used them to bring packet mixes home so they didnt burst all over the cases.
Pain killers as can buy bottles of 200 instead of the 16 over here.

I was very restrained on this trip, wont be at xmas as dh is staying at home

20 boxes of Kraft mac and cheese

but the best thing we bring back every single time (and sometimes even falls in the weird category) are memories

Colgate optical white toothpaste, knickers (never buy UK knickers these days- US ones much better!) OPI nail polish (much cheaper), this last time we bought various attachments for my sister's Kitchen Aid mixer eg a sausage stuffer!(a lot cheaper) and the usual clothes and cosmetics. I am also a big fan of the painkillers- especially the period pain ones which are fantastic.
