Mobile Christmas Tipping

Hi all, what's the going rate for Christmas tipping. I'm sorting this out for my Dad who's 91.

We have
  • Paper boy/girl - daily visit
  • Cleaners - 2 nice ladies come every two weeks for an hour
  • Postie
  • Chiropodist - every 6 weeks, nice girl, daughter of a family friend
  • Handyman in sheltered housing complex, always doing wee jobs
  • Local authority carers that come every day to do meals - have already got then a gift, should he give them cash too?

What do other dibbers give?

We gave a gift to the carers who visit my mum, and a bonus to the cleaner (a weeks wage) who is worth her weight in gold!

We never have the same postie so won’t be tipping but I gave the Hermes man a bottle of wine, he more than earned it this year!

The cleaner I will pay them an extra weeks money. I used to know my old cleaner really well and made my own M&S hamper but I now have a married couple and am not sure what they like.

£10 in cards for the window cleaner and postman, both of whom are well worth it.
