But off they set at 5am,

It took longer than expected, fighting the freezing wind, hail and snow, but they made it to the top of the first peak before sunrise.

After the decent of the first peak, unfortunately 4 had to drop out due to injuries, but the rest battled on, through very adverse conditions.

I could not be more proud of what these girls have done and achieved both for Izzy and other teenagers with cancer. I’ve shed a tear or two today. They surely all upheld the Girl Scout motto from their time in camp last summer:

“Building girls of courage, confidence and character.”
