How busy is Universal during the last 2 weeks of August?

The last and only time we have been to Universal was the first two weeks of November last year and we found the crowds to be super manageable and got on everything with minimum wait - the longest we queued was about 30 mins for Gringotts.

Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like in comparison in the last 2 weeks of August? Would we need express passes?

If we should get the express passes, we may as well stay for 1 night at the cheapest Universal hotel that includes them in the room price as I imagine this will work out cheaper?

Hi,

We went the last 2 weeks of August 2017 & 2015 and found the crowds very manageable. The longest we waited was Gringots and that was an hour but most others were max 30 minutes. Also used the Dibb busy day guide to plan ours visits and that definitely helped.

Here now and it has been medium busy (30 mins or less queue for most things). However today is the first day people can use Seasonal Passes and it's a different experience with 60 mins plus for anything decent. Hopefully it will calm down as the week progresses.

Was there towards the end of august 2016, long waits for everything 60 mins plus. Then torrential rain shut everything down for the day at 2pm

Thanks!

Would you be able to update me on how it is? We have used the busy day guide but not sure if that will be much help as I imagine Orlando will be busier next Summer with Galaxies Edge being open etc.

We went last week no problem with hardly any queues at all, if you get there for rope drop and go straight to cheetah, then everything else was a walk on, by 11 o’clock it got busier but the car park was still only a quarter full when we left. That was on a Monday.
