It's unlikely to happen, but it would be interesting if Universal released a bit more information every week. Sort of spread out the announcement over the whole of August.
So next Thursday they'd announce and tell us about the classic Universal Monsters area in the new park, the week after that they'd tell us about, say, the Dreamworks area, then a week later about the Super Nintendo World part and finally - on the 29th August - about the Harry Potter area.

Roughly how long elapsed between them announcing IoA and the park opening? We’re due to go again in summer 2022, but I think I’m probably being a bit optimistic.

Nintendo world in Osaka sounds very intriguing. I feel the saving up for Japan is on the cards...

Universal announced they were going to build a second theme park in Orlando back in September 1993 (apparently). However, it was several years before they actually started building it. It opened in 1999.
Whereas Universal have already started work on the area for Epic Universe. It’s possible it could open in just under 3 years I suppose...

Great news.
Disney will be forced to up their game.

I think given how busy the Disney parks are, Disney doesn’t have to do anything. I’m sort of hoping this takes some guests away from Disney’s parks and makes them less crowded.
Although it would be nice if they added another park.

Excited to hear more details...
Although I can't help that by announcing it now Universal is hoping to trump any parks announcements my Disney at D23 later in the month. |
