Mobile Parking at Disney resorts

We have booked our flights into and out of TPA. BA with Avis car hire to get to and from Disney.

We are staying for 16 nights on Disney and literally won't use the car.

What options do i have?

First is obviously pay at Disney resort.
Is there somewhere i can leave car cheaper?
Or would Avis have the car back for those 16 nights then i have it back to go back to TPA.
Anyone know rough prices for Uber for 4 TPA to a Disney resort (AKL or POFQ more than likely)?

Can't see Avis doing a split rental. You'd have to do two separate one-way rentals.

UberX

Comfort

UberXL

One way prices - might be cheaper to not bother with the car.

Just an update.

Rang BA on the weekend as had to cancel flights we had in May as now doing August next year. Explained about the Disney parking, that i didn't really need the car whilst in Disney.

To cut a long story short the lady i dealt with has now off hired the car once we get to Disney and then re hired a car for us the night before we leave Disney. We drop it off and pick it up at Avis by DS.

So its saved us i believe $500 in Disney parking but the Brucie bonus was the price of the fly drive dropped £318.

Massive result for us and well happy.

Hi,
Just going to jump on this if you don't mind but it might relate...

To avoid the need to pay for parking at Disney hotels is there any reason why you couldn't park at Disney Springs and use the courtesy buses to reach the resorts?

TIA

You are charged overnight parking for onsite stays , you can’t park overnight at ds either.

OP is taking about the overnight parking at Disney hotels for guests from 1st Jan 2020. Disney Springs is apparently getting fed up with people doing what you suggest and are taking about charging for anything over 3 hrs (according to one of the US sites) - had to come with people taking advantage.

Disney go out of their way to make that an unattractive option. Buses don’t start till at least 10am I think, and don’t run to the parks, just the resorts. So then you have to get to the park from the nearest resort.

Far easier to get Uber/Lyft if you are offsite.

Plus, if lots of people started using DS as a ‘park and ride’ they would start charging.
