We stayed in the hotel bequier. Mainly because we were driving and it's one of the few that has its own car park.

It's lovely, well located between the old town, shops and Triana. Rooftop pool was fabulous, and necessary in August but may not be so essential in April.

If you are looking to go to the Alcazar it is worth booking your tickets in advance. Otherwise may be queues esp if near Easter. Monday evenings post 6pm are 1 euro. Other times are much more expensive. It is well worth a walk around. We didn't pay extra to go upstairs to the state rooms but they are supposed to be small but beautifully decorated.

Similarly the Cathedral. If youngish and sprightly there is a really excellent rooftop tour of the cathedral which is well worth doing. Really unusual perspective Again possibly better in April than August as it was baking hot. Pre book. If don't wish to do tour then inside of Cathedral is beautiful - well worth seeking out the oval chamber right in the far corner go round Twista and turns ceiling beautiful. - very Da Vinci code type scenery. Walk up.tower from Inside.

The wooden mushroom thing. I cannot remember it's name sorry, is with a trip..go up and have a wander. To get to the lift you have to go underneath the mushroom on the left - to the left of what looks like the main steps up. When you have been up if you come back out of the mushroom and walk across the front of the steps there are two restaurant/bars underneath the mushroom area. One is dark and hip looking, the other one is more cafe like. Your ticket to the top of the mushroom also gives you a free drink in here.

Triana and area along the Riverside which is just over from Bequier has a famous market and a lot of tapas bars along the water.

Ther is another place that I cannot remember it's name. Place of the revolution perhaps? It's from an exhibition set in a park, made of redbrick with some fabulous tiles. We went there earlyish in the day had the place pretty much to ourselves. The coach tours tuned up enmasse about 10am or so. (Off the cruise ships).

A stroll.round the Jewish quarter is also well worth doing.

Lovely place Seville.

The Jewish quarter in the evening is a great place to wander around and there are a lot of bars etc hdden away in small squares. The Cathedral is worth a tour as well . If you go there yourselves there are usually a lot of tour guides with parties and you can usually latch onto an english speaking one. It is worth it to here the history of the place.
