Contemporary or Swan/Dolphin for MNSSHP only
Wondering what people’s views would be on this. We will arrive back from a cruise on Friday 28th August and will fly home from Tampa the following day. I believe MNSSHP would be on the Friday night and I’d love to go as a final treat. I can’t decide if we should try to book the Contemporary because it is just 10 minutes walk to MK or the Swan/Dolphin because it is a lot cheaper and has a lovely pool. I know check in for Contemporary is 3pm but Swan/Dolphin is 4pm.
We would need 2 rooms so Swolphin would be £382 but Contemporary would be £778 ( I will have about £300 worth of Tesco vouchers to put towards the hotel cost). So, what would you do? I’m trying to think about what we’d do all day till our room is ready, how easy or difficult it would then be to get to MK and wondering just how awful would it be trying to get back to the Swolphin with all the crowds at the end of the party? I’ve never been to the party nor the Contemporary before. Thoughts please ... xxx |

Cont is clearly the preferred option based upon position. If you chose this, i would get a monorail to the Poly and GFH for a look round.
If S/D then you could walk to YC for a bus to MK which is a 5/ 10 min stroll. You could look round the boardwalk or play crazy golf at Fantasia Gardens about 10 min stroll away. Disney332

It’s a lot of money but the Contemporary is clearly a better choice for MNSSHP. The Swalphin have a great location for Epcot and DHS though.

Since you can usually get into MK at 4pm on a party night Contemp would mean you could check in and be there early.
