Changing Hotel to SSR or OKW

Just a quick question if anyone has had any success in doing this yet.

Currently have 2 weeks booked at POR for 13th August onwards as part of a split Disney / Universal stay this year, 2 adults 1 child, booked via Charter Travel. We have free quick service dining plan and upgraded this to the next level dining plan.

Ideally when we booked in April last year, we wanted SSR or OKW but was advised about the lack of availability of rooms at both hotels and to book another hotel and if a room became available at SSR or OKW then we could upgrade to said hotel.

Keep looking on the Disney site but only 3 bed grand villas are available at present. However, looking on something like Expedia there are studios available at SSR which would be our preference.

Has anyone had any success in changing / upgrading to either of these hotels recently, for around the dates we are there and for the room type we are after?

We�ve been able to change in the past but we booked through Disney and it showed up on the Disney website. It needs to be available with Charter Travel before you can change your current booking and really that�s the only way to do it or you�d lose free dining.

The OKW studio via Expedia has gone now, although it has 1 bed and 2 bed available.

But agree with above, you need to keep checking in with Charter Travel, they might have an allocation that WDTC does not have and so you won�t see it in the Disney site.

Yep, I moved my pofq reservation to okw 1 bed in October, last week some more availablity became available so I book another night on to it. As i�d Manage to book flights so needed an extra night. I looked regularly. I booked with WD holidays, perseverance is definitely the key !

We have changed ours from POFQ to SSR about October time we booked in April as SSR was not available we changed it but had booked with Disney.
