I’ve only started and we go in April, not going to be the big spend trip we planned but we have been many times with a variety of budgets so we will enjoy it no matter what! I was following a fb group last week and it was a single mum with three kids for a week and her budget for spends food snacks Uber etc was $700! On day seven she had over $400 left ! And her children didn’t do without and they had a fantastic time , absolutely amazing xxx

For 5 people (2 adults 3 children) for 3 weeks this May/June (including half term) our total excluding spends is approximately £10500 which includes:

Direct Virgin flights from Manchester
10 nights CBR with free dining upgraded to table service plan
1 night HRH club
10 nights villa
Tickets for Disney, Universal, Busch/Seaworld, KSC and Gatorland
12 nights 7 seater SUV hire with sat nav and extra drivers

Planning to save £2.5k for spends and we got some Disney gift cards with the booking that should cover our dining plan tips.
My last trip was 2009 so costs have increased a fair bit since then, having 3 kids to pay for doesn't help either I initially hoped £10k would cover everything including spends and quickly realised that wasn't going to happen

Really interesting thread, we’ve done Florida many times on a range of budgets, our shortest trip was 1 night (really!) and this year we’re going for 3.5 weeks, we’ve done everything in between.

This year is a fancy trip for my 40th Birthday, we wouldn’t usually spend this but might be helpful to others.

2 adults, travelling out at the end of the school summer holidays (31/8 - 22/9)

Taxi to/from home to LHR: £160

Premier Inn LHR inc dinner & breakfast: £96

Shuttle to LHR: £10

Flights BA Club World LHR - TPA via MIA (cheaper than just getting off in MIA strangely!) booked in Jan sale: £3500

Car Hire: SUV with Avis in a package with the flights

Car Hire Insurance: £45

West Wing Hotel TPA: £165 (total for 2 nights)

Busch Gardens Annual Pass: £220 x 1 with a plan to use the guest tickets and utilise the free parking / discounts. We are returning twice more in the next 12 months so this made sense.

Tampa Bay Rays Tickets: £100
Florida Gators Tickets: £140

14 nights WDW Saratoga Springs Pref room with free QS dining plan: £3746 - included $300 gift card. 14 day ultimate tickets which we’re planning to upgrade to annual passes when there.

WDW hotel parking: £200

Port Canaveral hotel & cruise parking: TBD (£150ish)

3 night DCL Bahamas / Castaway Cay: £1416 (deluxe oceanview with verrandah)

1 night WDW all star movies: £106

Travel Insurance: annual policy with medical

Food, fuel & spending: £2500

= £12,500 + the difference for the WDW annual passes (wow. I hadn’t actually added it up so thank you I really needed to! ) BUT it will be amazing.

August 21 nights
1 night @ premier inn £69
Parking - unknown at this stage
Original booking - BA flydrive LHR to MIA with 2 days car hire at the beginning and 4 at the end (group f) £2470 - flight out of MIA changed and so was offered LGW to MCO and after some thinking DH decided he wanted car hire for our entire stay which cost £79 so new total £2525.
Original booking for Disney was 14 nights at POR but due to no longer staying in Miami for the first 2 nights we are now staying at CBR for 16 nights (2 extra nights for £54!) There was no availability at POR for our room grade and they wanted £1100 for the royal room! But £54 for 2 extra nights is a bargain and we loved CBR last year and want to try the skyliner so really pleased. The total for disney is £5444 - this includes qsdp, 21 day tickets and $100 gift card.
Oak Plantation - £ 386 includes breakfast.

Cashback £161 for Disney (received)
£42 pending (not included)

Total approx £98pppn

Spending money wise DH will be building a lightsabre and droid at galaxy's edge as birthday gifts but I think around $1500 will be more than enough for us and the children will have their own. We will only need 4 days food so I actually think £1000 would be more than enough but just in case I go shopping mad
We will decline Mousekeeping again, we changed our towels and sheets as required and was no effort, we don't create a lot of rubbish. Having been robbed by a housekeeper many many years ago (not disney) I don't like them coming in anyway so this will cover some of the onsite parking costs.

It eye watering when you add it up but I don't drink or smoke, save hard and as a family it's what makes us happy
