I like this.
Was in ASDAs yesterday got chatting to a lovely lady who was in a flat out spin trying to sort Christmas dinner for the new son's girlfriend who was arriving to meet the family. He son rang her and said it was going to be a special meal and she was the one wink wink, could mum make it extra special. PS new soon to be fiance is a hard core vegan. She was desperately trying to source facon to make vegan pigs in blankets and sundry other vegan delights. It wasn't going well as they had mainly sold out or been pre-ordered so not available. She was slightly stressing 😲 Edited at 06:51 PM. |

My mum once had to make Christmas dinner for my brother's new girlfriend who was a fruitarian. She was stressed too. 😂

Been down that road much easier just to make a separate dish and have suitable starters and desserts that everyone can have if they want well I find that

That sound really lovely.
She might not eat the fig dessert though, as they aren’t Vegan.

This year I have 3 diabetics, 1 gluten free, 1 dairy free, 2 vegans, a pescatarian and 4 carnivores !
So carnivores plus diabetics, plus gluten free and dairy free will have turkey and gammon. Pescatarian and vegans will eat a nut veg dish either home made or from Waitrose. Cooking oil, olive oil is ok for everyone. We have two Christmas puddings a normal plus gluten free and berries for the vegans. The dairy free will have pudding alone! We will have vegan picky bits and cheese which might help the dairy and gluten free. Others will have prawns and salad etc for the eve. Others will have meat sandwiches. Some how we will get by!
