Cats the movie

I had only seen (as above) a school stage production and as good as it was the actual "story" of cats is paper thin and its really just a series of set pieces.. with various cats doing a song & dance number ... I had sat through it twice before i even realised what the premise of the story was...

onto the film... in a word weird... the CGI was very offputting and made a lot of what I'm sure was well choreographed dance scenes look slightly fake/odd.. a lot things seemed oddly out of scale to me...if you dont know the story then after this film you will be none the wise imo

casting was weird as well amazed when Ray Winstone popped up! .. i also thought the lead female cat was Taylor Swift and didnt realise until Taylor Swift appeared it wasnt her :-)... Rebel Wilson & James Corden just played the usual role in a cat suit...
