Airboat Tours

Hi All,

Going in September and last time we went (6 years ago) we did an airboat tour I believe called Kissimmee swamp tours.

It was fab, but I think it was around 1 hour away from international drive, and as we are staying here again I was hoping for some recommendations for good airboat tours a little closer if possible.

I have seen some around 30 mins away from what I can gather but was hoping for recommendations!

In the area, the main two seem to be..

Spirit of the Swamp, A smaller boat and more personal experience. (We have used twice).

Boggy Creek, bigger boats with more people, a restaurant that serves Alligator and a really, really good presentation by a Native American Indian who has built a campment there and talks history, culture etc with a great sense of humour. (We have used 5 times).

If you are travelling to, from or around Miami, then we found 'Buffalo Tiger' on the Tamiami Causeway to be in a different league! (We have used once)

Fab thanks I’ll take a look at those. It’s definitely a more personal experience that we are looking for but have read great reviews about boggy creek. Have also read great reviews for wild willys which seems to be closer too.

We've always gone with Boggy Creek and loved every minute.

Make sure you pre-book or go early as they get very busy if you just turn up mid-day or afternoon.

It is recommended you go early anyway as you see fewer gators in the heat.

We always go wth spirit of the swamp, we love it great service and a real great time

Spirit of the swamp have smaller airboats which we liked and captain was very knowledgeable about the area and wild life.
Wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

It looks like you've already made your decision but another vote here for Spirit of the Swamp. We've used them on all our Orlando holidays and will be again next month.

I've been with Spirit of the Swamp twice, and recommended them to my friend, who has now recommended them to other friends.
Last time, we only had us 3 on the airboat, it was a completely personal service
