Meals on long haul Tui Dreamliner
We have just booked a week to Mexico in October as a Tui package from Birmingham. We were looking for a week in Spain but somehow got carried away 😀
Anyway, the website is a little vague about inflight meals. We are flying economy on the Dreamliner. I understand drinks aren’t complimentary now, apart from with the meal. However, will we get one meal, 2 meals, one full meal and a snack, or any snacks? Has anyone flown this route recently or have any idea of choice/frequency of meals? TIA Sue xx Edited at 04:29 PM. |

We flew to Mexico for Christmas but in Premium. We got one full meal and a lighter one - sandwiches on the way out and a full meal and breakfast on the way home.

We flew to Mexico on Dreamliner in September. We had a meal which we didn’t have a choice of, and a snack. Had a free drinks service too.

Was that with Tui? I had heard they didn’t do the free drink service in economy anymore, it would be a nice bonus if they do though. I do hope we like the meal as it’s a long flight with no meal choice. We aren’t fussy eaters so hopefully it will be fine. At least with a very nice AI hotel when we get to the resort we can eat when we arrive 😀

Yes with Tui, from Gatwick. The meal wasn’t that bad. Can remember one meal was chicken in a tomato type sauce with potatoes and veg. Definitely was free drinks when we went as I stick to a bottle of water on the plane and Kerri has my drinks 😁

Kerri is quite fussy with plane food. And she was ok with it so I know it wasn’t that bad.
Hehe. Well it keeps her quiet so 😉 What hotel are you staying at?

We are staying at Sandos Caracol eco resort in Riviera Maya. We booked it on a whim and it’s only for a week but seemed so much better value than anything we could get in Europe this year. We’ve never been to Mexico before, so we are looking forward to it.
I find plane food an entertainment more than a source of nourishment, it passes some of the time at least 😀 |

It was our first time in Mexico and was probably one of our best.
It’s like Xmas opening up the package to see what you get 😁
