Disney Pool Opening Hours

Hello,

Just out of curiosity how strict are Disney when it comes to the hours of operation for swimming pool times? Seen plenty of people having later night dips before now.

We're staying at AKL in Sep with our little one who will be 2 and although I have read that the pool opens at 10 are we likely to be able to get in any earlier, obviously said child will be supervised at all times!

Thanks,

No you can only use the pools during the operating hours, they are very strict especially at the AKL.

Pool at AKL is only usable when the lifeguards are on duty i.e. during the opening hours. It was rigorously inforced when we were there in September.

Hotels that have quiet pools they only enforce the opening hours of the main pool not the quiet pools.

Are there no quiet pools at AKL?

quiet pools are only at moderates

there are 2 pools at AKL, the main one at jambo, and the DVC one at kidani

both are gated and only open when lifeguards are on duty

A few of the deluxe hotels have quiet pools, Yacht & Beach clubs definitely have them.

We have stayed at all the all star resorts and found the pools quite busy at night later on , and our kids used to love going in the pools when we got back from the parks. POFQ was quieter but people still in at night up until midnight. When we stayed at Old Key West because it is a villa resort it it was a lot quieter and there wasnt much happening at night, the community room used to shut at 10 o clock and they dont have a proper resort quick serve eaterie so most people retired to their villa's but there was still a few people in the pool.So I think it is the luxury resorts that tend to shut the pools early.

I guess if you are up bright and early than hitting the parks before the crowds build is more popular than pool time? Worth considering if you are up that early!
