I read it as the OP was doing Washington state then west coast then Yellowstone - whoops

Washington flight ? DC. For west coast the drives are very long so some some careful planning needed. Have a look at flying into Bozeman for Yellowstone and then perhaps drive to Lake Tahoe,overnight stop needed , Yosemite and then Monterey and the coast. Probably need 2/3 weeks for this part of your trip.

I have driven the entire west coast and it can't be rushed especially the Big Sur and PCH portion as it is so stunning.

For Yosemite - bear in mind that if you are travelling from Lake Tahoe down the east of the Rockies to the Tioga Pass Road SR 120 over from Lee Vining on the SR 395 the Pass will be probably be closed as plowing doesn't start until about mid April at the earliest sometimes much later depending on that winters snowfall.
