After New Year?
Hi all,
We’ve been to WDW a couple of times in the lead up to Christmas, and I see a lot of threads talking about going early Dec to get the Christmas magic without the crowds and how busy the week from Christmas to New Year is -which I totally agree with - but I just wondered how it is once New Years has past? We are flying out either Boxing Day or the day after this year, and will be flying back on Saturday Jan 9th - for those who have still been there in the first week of January, how was it crowd wise? Does the Christmas atmosphere disappear completely after Jan 1st? Particularly interested in those that were there this year, as I do think the crowds have changed in all seasons over recent years and I don’t know that there is a real quiet season anymore, as Disney find ways to draw people in at all times it seems! Many thanks for any insight 👍 |

Three or four times - you’re going to be there over the marathon weekend which (personally) I’d avoid if I wasn’t participating.

Getting Excited

Hi.
We’ve been in WDW since 8th Jan and have been surprised at how busy it is. Most of the established big attractions have had wait times of an hour or so and FOP and SDMT have been hovering around two hours. Based on our experience I think the quiet period in jan no longer exists. |

The first week in January is very busy as all the decorations are still up so people still visit. You can usually tell by flight prices when it will be getting quieter.
