Hi I have booked for Oct 2019 but my husband is concerned how busy it will be! Do you think it will be very busy or just in Hollywood studios if Star Wars land opens? He is thinking of changing the date!

At this point it seems unlikely that Galaxy's Edge will be open in October. There may be soft openings, but at the moment the official word is just 'late fall' - I think most people are assuming mid to end of November for opening.

If he's concerned, though, I would suggest going earlier rather than later as I imagine once GE opens it's going to be very busy for the next few months!

We last went in October 2015 and it was VERY busy. We are going again next October and are expecting it to be busy then. I don’t think there is such a thing as a quiet time at WDW anymore.

In our experience October is getting busier year on year, but still seems much better than peak months

As said , quiet times are becoming rare , my Dh is there at the moment and went to MK last week and said it was the busiest she has ever seen but this could be down to Disney now only having certain things on certain days like fireworks

Fireworks are scheduled every night at the Magic Kingdom.

If Fireworks don't happen it's due to inclement weather, or a 'party' being on that night (which will have fireworks instead)

Quantify this claim of 'certain days', because right now it makes no sense and I'm curious.

We were there this year for the period Oct 27th - Nov 17th.

The first 2 weeks were as busy as the last 2 weeks in August. Nuts!

Next year we are going Nov 2nd on to avoid a bit of the Oct crowds. I don't think Star Wars will be open until mid December 19.

I found the last 2 weeks in October mixed (the first week busy the second not so much) the last few days were pretty quiet. We were in Epcot on Tuesday 30th Oct and there was hardly anyone there!

We have booked again for the 3rd time next October, so it can’t be that bad!

I think you answered your own question there. There is no HEA on party nights, which is why the "certain days" that HEA is on is busier.
