Florida doesn’t seem to be much more expensive
Sat here watching Dallas vs Falcons live on Fox NFL direct from tge USA.
Adverts such as Burger King 3 pancakes (yes, fluffy pancakes) for $0.89 Dominoes pizza 2 for $5 KFC 10 chicken nuggets for $1 As for the price of cars... I don’t see any of those as being expensive.

Junk food is reasonable in Orlando. It’s the healthy stuff that can be expensive.
Cars adverts exclude tax in the US so can be misleading |

Cars in the US are advertised at the base price - often this won't even include a radio.
When you spec like for like there's often not too much in it. (I used to work in the Chrysler Jeep marketing dept and we got asked that a lot! ) |

It is possibly to eat very cheaply, we stuck to $100 a day for a family of 4 with 3 eating as adults. We did notice things like food shopping were particularly expensive though

I think the stuff that kills you is really cheap but the stuff that keeps you alive and well is really expensive over there .

Most of the budget to moderate chains have healthy/lighter options with the calorie count noted, even the much derided McDonalds. It is possible to eat healthily and cheaply. We usually do a mixture of healthy and naughty over the holiday!

We are currently on holiday in the USA and have been travelling a lot Arizona, Nevada, Utah and now back on the east coast we have found it much cheaper to eat than our usual stays in Florida, especially as we have a car and have been off the beaten tourist track a bit.
It shows that prices around Florida ,even in somewhere like Walmart are aiming for the tourist dollar. |
