August 2018 Dixonsontour does Universal Day 2 I of Adventure & Universal

Day 2

Saturday 18th August 2018

Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios

We did set the alarm for 6.30am. Unpacked then headed to Denny's on International Drive for our traditional Day 1 breakfast.

Lovely breakfast as usual.







Look at the lovely blue sky!









We were at Islands of Adventure entrance for 8.50am. Park opened at 9am (no early entry) and they were just letting people in. Good timing.





We did Forbidden Journey, hippogriff and skull island kong.





















After a stop for DD to have pizza we did Seuss carousel and red fish blue fish, two of my faves but I had to persuade DD to go on with me.





Anna won't be impressed i've used this photo. The days of her posing nicely with the food are long gone!

I usually wear gizeh birkenstock sandals but this trip wore sketchers go walk sandals. No going back they were amazing!







We headed back to the hotel on the boat to Sapphire Falls.













We then headed out in the car and had a late lunch at Culver's near Mall of Millenia. Also filled up with fuel at Wawa only $37 for a full tank.











Get the wisconsin cheese curds if you go to Culvers





Had a trip around Super Target too. Lots of target photos in my food review.





After a swim and shower we headed to Universal, used the boat from sapphire falls. Hotel pool wasn't huge but very nice and ver crowded.









Did Fast and the Furious for the first time, thought it was very poor.





Spent some time in Diagon Alley. Dd had her Interactive wand with her from a previous holiday and did some spells.

We had a lovely evening in Diagon Alley. We've always enjoyed the harry potter areas at night. usually less busy and nice atmosphere.






































We headed out through New york area













We used some of the $100 free food credit back at Aventura for some food before bed at 9.30pm.











I also got the new style Florida and Orlando mugs from Starbucks at the hotel.

Would definitely eat there again, was nice food and reasonably priced. If you join the email club you get a free meal.

I really wanted to get myself some Sketchers sandals but we never made it to the outlets this year, glad to hear they are comfortable.

We haven't ridden Fast and Furious as we don't do Universal but I have only heard bad things, what a wasted opportunity by Universal - it should be a supercharged Test Track.

I would 100% recommend the go walk sandals. I got them off amazon before I went.

DH was appalled by fast and furious. It really was poor.

Thank you. Denny's never disappoints.

It was early morning and everyone was rushing towards Forbidden journey but I was suprised just how quiet it was.
