Alamo pay on arrival?

Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea or would it be better to pay upfront. If you pay on arrival do they hit you with a lot of extras?

We have done this every time (I prefer not parting with money until I have to) and had no problems re extras. But then we always pick the car up at the car care centre so I don't think there is much of a hard sell.

Thank you. What is the car care centre? Can you do the Alamo save time with this?

Done this a few times and had no problems,just do a rough � to $ conversion before you go and make a note of it on your paperwork so that you've an idea of what your signing for at the desk.

The car care centre is just outside MK, we use ME from the airport and then arrange to be picked up by Alamo a few days into the holiday and pick up the car then.
