FOP Fastpass queue
Just curious if anyone has used FP+ for FOP yet, and if you miss all the amazing queue stuff when you use it? I really want to see the giant Avatar animatronic and rest of it!
If you skip all that I think I'd rather go for it at rope drop as I think that's all part of the experience? |

You pretty much skip everything. We walked pretty much on both times we did it. The stand by was four hours. Four hours to see some things in the queue or fastpass and walk on. I know which one I prefer

As above. I like that they try to make a queue more bearable by having interesting things along the way. But a queue is never " part of the experience" for me. I would skip queuing every time if I could.

That's a shame to me, i'd rather be able to walk through the queue area for 10-15 mins in the FP line than bypass it all together. I guess everyone is different. Rope drop standby it is for me then and a FP for later in case it's more than 30mins when I get there (that's my max usually).

RD with FP backup sounds like a good plan.
Does show everyone's different though, I was really hoping that FP would skip all the interactive stuff. I understand why they do it but it just slows the queue lines down while people look at everything. So for me it's great news that it skips. I'm hoping the single rider queue does as well in case I don't get a FP, but I haven't seen reports of that - not sure if they're using it yet. |

It was a great queue! And you will miss the giant Avatar I'm afraid! I'd definitely go at rope drop and see if you can queue... or go back at night 👍🏻

Surely I'm not the only one that feels the queue areas and pre-shows are part of the experience in immersive attractions? I can't imagine getting straight on something like Harry Potter Forbidden Journey without walking through Hogwarts first, or ToT without walking through the hotel... |

You're definitely not, otherwise they wouldn't invest so much in immersive theming. I think it depends on the ride for me. For FoP, the queue doesn't add much to the experience I want - which is really only the flight part.
Completely different to things like ToT where the upfront story is needed to set the scene. Although I'm guessing on that, as I hate lifts so going into one that's purposely going to drop is not my idea of fun. |
