When we went when DD was not quite 6 years old, they let you in at the end of the session for photos so yes they will usually let you in at the end. For our DD she was quite happy with this and she didnt feel left out. X

My DD did it when she was 6. She could swim but only just. I went down to the dolphin with her until he swam back with her. It was fine.

My dd aged 6 did the swim in April last year. They were v good with her and I thought she'd do the shallow swim but ended up doing the deep water one. We had a brilliant day. She didn't like stingray lagoon but adored the lazy river. Well worth it imo.

My dd did the dolphin swim at 6 as a non swimmer, it was perfectly fine.
Also she loved the rest of Dc, especially the birds. She was a bit wary of the rays though!

Sorry to hijack this but do you have to be a strong swimmer to go in the grand reef?

not really as you have flotation vests to put on. However parts of it are very deep so it's important that the person won't panic as the chances are with their head in the water they will realise just how deep it is... although there is much of it that is shallow too.
Also just beware it's very cold when you get in and you need to adjust to that too |
