Animal Kingdom - River of light
So we plan to visit AK at night - I love this park in the dark.
I see from the park hours AK shows a 9am-9pm opening however ROL is scheduled for 9.15pm. Are any of the rides still running whilst ROL is showing or are they all closed? I don't fancy it but would love to do the Everest. I'm thinking the rides would be quiet at this time. |

They won't let you join the queues after 9pm. That is the time the ride queues shut. They wont close the ride until everyone in the queue at closing has gone through though. So maybe 9:15pm to 9:30pm before you get on.

Is this the same for every park then? I seem to remember leaving Epcot once, it was after closing time and we managed to walk on Soarin twice. Everyone else was leaving the park.

Epcot can do that as it is the exit point for after the fireworks. So to disperse the crowds they often keep Soarin open.
But the official policy for all rides is they shut the line at closing. |

When we came out of ROL last year people were still heading into the queue at Everest, so it was definitely still open when the show was on.

AK was open until 11pm for a lot of last year. What time did you go?

Rivers of light was 8:45pm then and the park closed at 9:30pm so people would have been able to make it in time to ride it on the way out.
