Hollywood Studios 2014-2018
We last went to WDW in 2014, electronic fastpass was only just released before we went, so easy to get.
Hollywood Studios was one of our favourite parks, but I concerned that I'm reading more threads that attractions are closing with replacements not forecast or beyond our visit. We deliberately didn't go 2017 due to the number of ride closures in HS, but thought this would have recovered by 2018. I knew Star Wars Land wasn't until 2019/20, but thought they can't have half a park for 2 years? Could some of you regular visitors list what's closed since our last visit in 2014, or point me to a thread with the info. Whilst it's not worth being disappointed, I would like to know if we need to spend as much time in HS as we usually do. There are new attractions in other parks to look forward to, so that's the positive to take away.

The Theme Park Timeline will show you what's opened/closed since you last went.
Personally for us we still spend a lot of time there. It has 3 of our favourite rides in WDW (TOT, Rock n Roller and Star Tours), my favourite evening show Fantasmic, the brilliant Star Wars fireworks and 3 shows we won't miss (Frozen, Indiana and Beauty and the Beast) etc. So it all depends on what you liked there and if it's still open! |

Did 2 days at Hollywood just last month and still wanted more. Yes it isn't as big as magic kingdom but really it'll still be a busy time get everything done.
When toy story and Star Wars lands hit I really think it'll be a full 3 or 4 day effort |

Agree with this. We had a full day, a seperate evening from about 5.30pm up to Star Wars fireworks and then another day returning for Fantasmic. The park seems compact but we enjoyed our time there.

This actually looks more positive, as it appears to have more new openings than closures.

Our very first trip was in 2014 too and when we returned in December 2016 we still spent nearly 2 full days there and enjoyed it! Rock n Roller is my favourite ride at Disney so I have to visit just for that but also love Toy Story, ToT and the Beauty and the Beast show and also loved the addition of the Frozen show! I'm a big character fan too and enjoyed meeting Olaf, Moana and the Star Wars characters there. Star Wars fireworks and Fantasmic are both amazing!
I didn't enjoy the Cars show when we went in 2014 so didn't miss that at all and also didn't bother with the Indiana Jones show again as I got slightly bored in that too. The only things I missed were the hat in the background and Pizza Planet restuarant as that was one of my faves! Definitely still worth a visit (or two) and will be amazing when the new lands open! Roll on 2019 for (hopefully) my next visit! |

We've just got back and covered everything in two visits. It's worth it for a fantasmic, new pixar show, stormtroopers etc . We loved it.

Used to be our favourite but the last 2 holidays there it's been a half day visit both times. There's simply not enough there in my opinion. We do skip the shows because we've seen them (I love Indy but that auditorium is waaaaaay too hot and uncomfy).
