Entering Pandora?

Hi all

Two sets of my friends have just returned from WDW, both telling tales of how they couldn't even get in the land of Pandora, let alone near the rides.

I realise that it's just opened, but I was just wondering how the last few days have been? Do you still need to queue for ages to get in to Avatarland?

Ive read that those with Faspasses have been let in once their time slot arrives, regardless of the queue, so ive booked a FOP Fastpass from 9-10am, hoping that that will guarantee me entry in the first hour, with the view to going straight to Navi to get that done via standby before the masses arrive & then I'd do my FOP Fastpass - would that be a good strategy? Is it even necessary?(we'd also get to the park about 45 mins before opening I reckon).

I don't usually like using a FastPass that early in the day, but I'd sooner get both rides done, than queue for 3/4 hours for either one!

I'm sure things will change by the time we go in August, but it would be nice to see how things are progressing since the mayhem of opening weekend!

Many thanks for any insight

It was definitely like this on opening weekend, which was also memorial weekend so the parks were extra busy. I was last there on 31 May and there was no issue with getting into Pandora the whole day I was there. Rides were averaging 3 hrs for FOP and 2 and a half for Na'vi. The park is open from 8am, and was busy from then, you might want to consider getting there for rope drop and head to Na'vi first as a walk on. I'd be disappointed to wait that long in a queue for it as it's quite underwhelming really. FOP is amazing though

I think it was only the first few days where people weren't even able to get in at all. The queues are still long, but not the 4+ hours that they were on opening weekend.

ETA: I am talking about ride queues still being long now, not entrance queues. Just realised reading other replies that I wasn't very clear.

We went May 29th and walked into Pandora around 6.30pm with no issue at all. Busy yes but no queue to get in. We went again a few days later. We went in around 9.30am and the same thing.

I don't think it's been at the 'queuing to get in' stage since opening weekend. It is usually busiest first thing in the morning but with a FP you will be fine. However, may I suggest going back at night because that's when Pandora really comes alive ❤️

There is no queue at all to get into the Pandora area... Only for food and rides.
The queue times for rides seem consistent at the moment

We had no issue getting in on Wednesday and had maybe a 10 minute queue for food in the new QS. It was pouring down but even before that the park wasn't too busy.
