Typhoon Lagoon vs Blizzard beach

Hi guys

Haven't been to Orlando before and only have one day for a Disney water park, any advice on which one to go for?

Does TL still have Shark reef where you can go snorkelling?

We have a day scheduled for Volcano Bay and probably won't bother with Aquatica have read it's the worst of the water parks?

Thanks in advance for your time

Do you have children? The kid's area at TL is much better than BB and the wave pool at TL is AMAZING (we loved it when it was just the two of us but DD also enjoyed jumping in the waves). We liked Aquatica the least but couldn't really pinpoint why, plus you have to pay to park!

I think the shark reef has gone, unfortunately.

Just for info, if you are staying onsite and using disney transport, both TL and BB and a real faff to get too, and to get out of and they require a bus switch.

Aquatica is our favourite and if I had to choose just one water park it would have to be that one, second to this I would choose BB over TL

I would choose TL over BB for older children, however I preferred the seating and lazy river layout at BB. We found it a lot easier to get in and out of the lazy river at BB where we knew our bits and pieces were left.

thank for replies so far

perhaps I should put a little more info

our kids are more like men! Two lads aged 16 and 17 ( wont be cheap dining, lol ) Think my kids will only want two entire days at the water parks and we are doing Volcano bay as it is the newest?

we are off site so driving to them all anyway but do have free parking at Aquatica if we choose to go as part of our tickets.

Cant remember why I discounted Aqautica, will have to read about that one again as some of you like that one too

Shark reef and the snorkelling would have swung it for us at TL but think this has closed?

Must say , am loving this site though, some very helpful people out there.

xx

We've done both TL and BB but much prefer TL - love, love, love the wave pool

I think your lads would appreciate the wave pool but must admit BB has Summit Plummit if they're into huge slides (I'm too wimpy to tackle that one )

We just prefer the theming and laid back surfer vibe of TL really!

That's not true for all hotels. We stayed in Coronado springs last month and they had a direct bus to and from Blizzard Beach...

I just done a bit of researching and it seems most, if not all hotels have a direct bus to at least one of the water parks.

We were at Typhoon Lagoon the other week and yes the Shark Reef and Snorkelling have gone now unfortunately.

We personally prefer Blizzard Beach out of the two Disney Water parks
