Food & Wine at Epcot...start date?

Does anyone know when food & wine normally starts? A few people who enjoy food & wine that I know have said that they've heard it's starting earlier this year, and it's not something we're particularly interested in so was wondering if it was going to be in when were there (17/08 for 19 days)

It started on 31st August last year. I wouldn't expect this year to be much later than that with Epcot creeping towards hosting festivals all year long

It usually starts at the end of a given week (Wed/Thurs/Friday) so I'd expect it to start around 29th - 31st August.

I doubt it'd move a week earlier but its certainly possible since the crowds start to drop from mid August. The current goal appears to be to have consistent crowd levels year round by attracting different markets.

If they can start MNSSHP from 17th August (only based on the fact that MK is closing at 6pm) then i suppose they *could* move Food & Wine to start earlier.

Thanks everyone, I think I could be a bit earlier this year too as is getting more and more popular every year. We have an EMH at Epcot while we are on site so was just going to have a slow mooch around world showcase but if food and wine is on then I expect it will be really busy? Or will it? Then again EMH might change between now and then anyway!
