Wheelchairs go in the hold - after you’ve boarded the plane.
was going to rent one at a cost of $125 Walmart selling same size chair for $99. will order the Walmart one . thanks for the tip

The Red Cross were a lifesaver when my daughter first needed a wheelchair in the UK. However we did quickly buy one online that was more portable for less than 150 pounds. I would really suggest buying one and bringing it with you. You might really need it at the airport and having your own is far more convenient than waiting for special assistance.

I bought mine off eBay for £70. Love it! It was an absolute god send last year. Brand new and from an eBay shop. Cast members will ask if you can transfer and then they will take their wheelchair when you’re ready to get on the ride.

Call BA special assistance to talk about the flight. Mine goes in the hold and I just get it with the cases because I take crutches on the plane. But they can arrange someone to meet you with an airport wheelchair off the plane
