What to do when ESTA form will not accept address
Sometimes the Esta form will not accept a US address saying it's invalid.
You could put 'unknown' as to the address you are staying and US contact details but I'm not sure how this may affect chances of an authorisation, may make no difference I don't know. Anyway I've just had this problem as we are staying at Endless Summer which isn't open yet, and it's address of 7000 Universal Boulevard is not accepted. When you press submit, it comes up as an invalid address. The workaround is to press submit (or 'next' or whatever the button is to submit the info) a second time. The second time submitting the unrecognised address comes up with a little tick box (difficult to spot, it's under the red writing saying the address is unrecognised) where you tick it to certify that the address is in fact correct. Then it accepts it. Just thought others may be staying at Endless Summer Surfside and have the same problem so thought I'd post this tip here. |

We had this for Caribbean Beach Resort! I just kept on confirming and then ticked the box that came up and it was fine

Excited about Disney

We have put 'unknown' in the address section on two sets of ESTAs now and have never had a problem with them being authorised, as we often sort them before booking the holiday/ knowing where we will be staying.

We've also put 'unknown' on several ESTAs as we have not yet booked accommodation and wanted to have a valid ESTA just in case.

We always put Unknown on our ESTAs and never had a problem. They get the address from your API.

I dug back to a thread when I did ours...
I did 4 so this process was discovered on the first, tested and refined on the 2nd and worked a treat on the last 2. Social media bit ignored. US point of contact filled with UNKNOWN and some zero's as the phone number. Address of accommodation completed as best I could. Zero's and unknown's as required. I clicked submit, and it told me the address was not validated. I clicked submit again (without changing anything) and a check box appeared to confirm that it was accurate even though it wasn't validated. Ticked the boxes, and pressed go again and it went through. Not ideal that it turns down your info twice before accepting it with the extra checkbox, but easily worked with. The first one took several goes before accepting the details but on later ones clicking in the space allowed an option to select what you put last time which was handy with the addresses and common details like parents details for the 2 kids. The last one was a 2 minute job. I also filled in the Questions using tabs and N's to prevent an incorrect click. (personal preference). I also clicked on the background before scrolling to prevent accidentally changing a box, but honestly if you check the info carefully when it's put to you to confirm you don't need to overthink it.
