Can I get a refund on cost of paying for bubble seats? Advice please

Good evening Dibbers.

I originally had a package booked with VH including VA flights, so I paid for exit row tickets in Economy in the bubble, 2 people x return flight was £236 in total.

I've now been lucky enough to secure these flights using miles in PE, so I now longer will be using them.

Now of course I'm wondering, at over 300 days out, if I would be able to get a refund on these. Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you’ve upgraded the original booking they should automatically refund the cost of the seats you booked.

Sorry, just released that I missed out the fact that the new seats are on a different days to the original.

We didn’t get ours refunded when we upgraded a few years back, but it’s worth making a phone call as you might get the right person who will do it for you. Found with the call centre one person will say no the other will say yes. Good luck

I needed to send a couple of emails in order to obtain a refund on our extra legroom seats in February when we were offered seats in premium economy at the airport. Staff there assured us we would be automatically refunded, but it wasn’t the case! Persistence paid off though.

Give flying club a call. We dud exactly the same re bubble to PE. Got refund within a day or two

Presumably you’ve either cancelled the package or at least the flights part of the package? If you just lost deposit I would expect to get a refund on the seats but you may have to ask.

I've cancelled the flight part of the package but the reservation fee was non refundable unfortunately. Thanks for your advice. Happy with the reward seats.
