New Amex Bonus Sign Up Rules

I know that several dibbers (myself included) have suggested Amex cards as a way of boosting airline mileage points.

However, for anyone thinking of taking out another Amex card, there have been changes to the conditions on which you get any bonuses.

In general, you will now NOT get any bonus (such as the 20,000 Rewards Points on the Gold Rewards card) if you have cancelled a similar rewards card within the previous 24 months (used to be 6 months).

Looks as if DW and DD will have to get used to flying economy in the future!

I did search this board for Amex but didn�t find anything on the subject hence my post.

Meanwhile, just plucking up courage to tell DW/DD about our future non-premium flights.

I have never card churned and we fly twice in club or first most years on avios, definitely at least once. Only two of us, so a bit easier, but I don�t think you need to say never again. Just collect points everywhere you can.
